The summer of cricket has begun, and that means our Teapot Test is back! It's our free wicket prediction game - and with England squaring up to South Africa and the West Indies between now and September, there'll be plenty of chances to play.
Last week saw thousands of schools across England and Wales getting involved with Yorkshire Tea National Cricket Week. It's a week of cricket-themed activity – in class and in the playground - which showcases the ongoing work of national cricket charity, Chance to Shine.
It was the greatest tea delivery race of all time! Last week, we enlisted the help of the Brownlee brothers and Deliveroo to hand out almost 1,000 freshly brewed cups of tea.
Yorkshire’s favourite sporting siblings – Alastair and Jonny Brownlee – are keen to encourage more young people to get into sport.
Our brews aren’t without their fair share of plaudits, too. We’ve taken the hot drink crown in Good Housekeeping’s Awards in 2015 and 2016, and we’re very happy to say that we’re nominated again this year.
Throughout May, school children across the UK have had the chance to learn about how trees are contributing to their school environment as well as adopting a tree in a country far from their own, thanks to a partnership with BBC Learning and the United Bank of Carbon (UBoC), with whom we’re collaborating on their Terrific Tropical Trees project.
