Tea on the train

Posted in Our Friends.

We like trains. Not only do they get you from A to B, but they're also one of the only forms of transport which provide tea.

Driving with a brew is a bad idea, cycling with one is even worse and we've never found a bus which sells hot drinks. As for aeroplanes... well, they do serve tea but they're a bit of a faff for the average daily commute.

But it breaks our heart when we buy a buffet car beverage and it's not up to scratch. That's why we joined forces with East Coast Trains, to make sure that passengers on their services have access to a proper brew.

To help keep track, we put a little message on the cups: "Tweet us a pic of you and your brew. #TeaOnTheTrain."

It means that several times a day, a cheerful little picture pops up on our Twitter feed. We've put a small selection of them above.

You can go and browse them yourself here – and if you happen to find yourself on an East Coast train enjoying a brew, please take a pic and tweet it to us @YorkshireTea.
