We’re recalling the above Yorkshire Tea ceramics which have been retailed through Amazon and some independent retailers after November 2015. This includes the Yorkshire Tea 1-litre Teapot, the Yorkshire Tea Teapot for One, the Yorkshire Tea Big Tea Mug and the Yorkshire Tea Milk Jug.
These products are being recalled following a small number of complaints from customers who reported that the base of the 1-litre Yorkshire Tea Teapot cracked or broke during normal use.
Does that mean there’s a fault?
When teapots from the same batch were tested against the relevant British Safety Standard they did not crack. However, more extensive testing revealed the potential for fracture or breakages during normal use. Therefore, in the interests of our customers’ safety, we’ve taken the decision to implement a recall of all the ceramics made by the same manufacturer.
Which products are affected?
Yorkshire Tea Teapots (1-litre and one cup), the Yorkshire Tea Big Tea Mug and the Yorkshire Tea Milk Jug as illustrated are part of the recall. These carry ‘Harrogate’ in the ‘Taylors of Harrogate’ logo in a lower case type, rather than capital letters – see illustration below.
What should I do?
