There are just 50 days to go until the biggest cycling event in the world lands in Yorkshire.

To say we're excited is an understatement. We're bouncing off the walls here at the Yorkshire Tea HQ in Harrogate, because the race is virtually heading past our doorstep.

That's why we've signed up to be involved. Or, to give us our proper title, to become the Official Tea Partner of Le Grand Départ.

So what does this involve, other than peering out the second floor windows of our offices and whooping when the riders go past?

Well, it mostly means giving away a ludicrous amount of tea. We'll have two Yorkshire Tea vehicles travelling the route before the race, flinging sample boxes of tea to the crowd like it's going out of fashion.

We'll also be at the three day Le Tour event in Leeds – and we'll have our trusty tea van, Little Urn, waiting at the finishing areas to hand out even more sample packs.

And just in case you were thinking that we weren't handing out enough tea, we're also giving away a year's supply of Yorkshire Tea to 30 people.

We've got 10 prize packs to give away on each of the three days the Tour de France is in the UK – July 5, 6 and 7. To enter, you'll need to be in the crowd to get one of our sample packs - and then tweet #teaonletour with a picture of you holding it. And with a bit of luck, you'll win enough brews to last until summer 2015.
