Our family business was founded in 1886 in Harrogate, one of the most beautiful towns in Yorkshire. Since then we’ve built our business based on key principles of quality, fairness and respect - for both the people we work with and the planet. We’re still family owned today and we work hard to stay true to those principles. It makes us very happy to find that so many customers appreciate those same values too.
1000 Teas A Day
How many cups of tea do you have a day? Three? Six? Ten? More? Well, our tea buying team taste anything up to 1000 every day. That’s a serious amount of tea. Obviously, they don’t have a mug of each, but they do taste every single one and use their carefully trained palates to analyse and judge each tea. Every day, new tea samples are delivered and there’s a whole team dedicated to preparing each one precisely to the tasters’ requirements. It’s really is quite something to see.
